Today we're in a tense period with debates about ideas, where very often there's little room for sharing. The word "Feminism" was elected word of the year in 2017 and symbolizes the changes our society is making. Unfortunately, some people, some media have a biased, erroneous vision of feminism and will put forward a doctrine that goes against the true values advocated by this movement.

The aim of this conference is to:

  • Deconstruct preconceived ideas about feminism, such as "I'm not a feminist, but...".

  • Explain the definition and concrete advances in law and policy in recent years (right to have a bank account for example).

  • Being a woman in everyday life: Between myths and realities (professional - career statistics, social with advertising, sexual with assaults)

  • The underlying question - the freedom of bodies and minds: why do I, as an individual, feel offended by a woman who doesn't shave, who has a fulfilling sex life?

Be that as it may, this conference is intended to be a reflection rather than a lesson, with the aim of showing us that we could all gain by taking a step back from this word, which deserves to regain its letters of nobility.
