Initiation to Non Violent Communication

Diane Taieb - Well being at work conference

Diane Taieb

Since 2017, Diane has been working with individuals and companies to offer fostering, conferences, workshops and retreats. She draws on psychology and neuroscience, and her pillar practices are mindfulness meditation, non-violent communication and the enneagram.

Companies are fascinating human adventures in which hundreds of people work together in the same direction. But human beings are complex and it is not so easy to cooperate. We bring who we are to our projects : our ideas, our vision, our talents and our human qualities. And we also bring our insecurities, our personal challenges, and our limitations. Sometimes, this creates frictions. Misunderstandings, power struggles, judgements, conflicts, difficulties to assert oneself or on the contrary to leave space to other people.

We don't feel understood, we don't understand each other, we don't listen to each other, we try to convince the other but in the end we both lose.

Non Violent Communication brings discernment into our interactions in order to put the quality of our relationships back at the center core of our projects. We learn to listen to ourselves, to understand each other, and better express ourselves in order to take care of our relationships. It is a necessary condition to build a deep trust and a fruitful cooperation, and in the end make the right decisions together. Thanks to this common language, not only do we learn to be fully ourselves while being with others, but we also change our view on disagreements : they become interesting opportunities to better understand one another and to grow together.

This is what we will discover during this conference which will be useful in so many professional situations: understanding the needs of our interlocutors, daring to say our opinion, announcing bad news while being in empathy, learning to set limits without hurting the other, going through a conflict while remaining in connection.
