How to bring your whole self to work

Often, we feel that we need to perform a role at work. We fear that we would be judged otherwise, and this makes us feel inauthentic, even like an actor sometimes. We don’t really know ourselves, and therefore we shape our presence to what we believe others expect from us. This can contribute to a feeling of dissatisfaction, disconnection and even imposter syndrome.

This workshop is about learning to be vulnerable at work. You will increase your self-awareness and practice facing your fears in a way that makes you grow and will improve both your wellbeing and your performance. The first half of this workshop is about exploring who you are, and what your present to the world, as well as clarifying who you want to be and what matters to you. It will help you define yourself with more depth and precision, while recognising the different facets of your evolving self. The second part of this workshop is very practical and involves getting comfortable with vulnerability. Having clarified who you are, you will decide how you want to communicate that with others, and what you choose to disclose and be open about. The discussion finishes on the topic of intersectionality of our different identities and how we can be our whole self at work.

You will feel empowered, more self-aware and hopefully more comfortable bringing your whole self to work following this workshop, allowing yourself to be all of who you are, as well as allow and support others in your team to do the same.
