Social Safety Workshop

We offer a social safety workshop (8-10 participants), which is an interactive opportunity to reflect on what makes us feel safe, and how we can create a safe environment for others. This workshop is very practical and gives participants concrete tools. It has three parts: each participant first drafts a mindmap of the different people he/she/they rely on or depend on at work, to better understand the dynamic and how to make these relationships friendly and productive.

The second part is a reflection on speaking up and doing things in a way that is not well received by colleagues. Implications at the institutional and personal level are explored.

In the third section, where participants learn about and practice listening to different ideas, communicating criticism or a different viewpoint in a respectful and constructive way, as well as accepting feedback.

Participants leave with a better understanding of the current dynamics and the role they play in them, with an action plan for actions that they can take to create space for change and new ways of working.
