More than a half of the worldwide population is now connected to the Internet to work, communicate, play etc. However, digital is not a magical thing because it requires a heavy infrastructure to work which generates multiple impacts on our environment such as pollution, household gas emission, primary energy, water consumption etc.

Each of us, at our own level and depending on our usage profile, can try to significantly reduce this footprint by prioritising eco-gestures.

This conference will take us through an overview of these impacts and explain how to minimize our digital pollution based on best practices in our day to day usage of technology.

This conference offers both an overview of the environmental impact of digital technology and a advices regarding good practices within companies.

It aims at incentivising employees to take on board the first eco-gestures, so that they can then become players in a responsible digital strategy within their organisation.
