Anastasia Mikova - Gender equality conference

Anastasia Mikova

Anastasia Mikova is a journalist and film-maker whose work has always focused on social and humanist issues.

In this conference, director Anastasia Mikova will share the experience of her film Woman (co-directed with photographer and filmmaker Yann Arthus-Bertrand), for which they interviewed two thousand women in over fifty countries. She will explain the birth of this project, why such a film was necessary today, and what this global women's voices means for tomorrow's world. She'll also talk about how she worked to find these thousands of women, from the farmer in a small village in Bangladesh to the President of UN Women. She'll explain how and why these thousands of women told her things they have never shared before.
Touching on subjects as varied as education, work, financial independence, sexuality, their relationship with their bodies and the violence women face, Anastasia Mikova will reveal the true situation of women around the world.

It's a personal and very intimate conference where, with testimonials to back it up, the director will take you behind the scenes of an incredible adventure that will change the way you look at women.
